It’s not easy being Black in the U.S., and it certainly isn’t easy in Asia either. No one in South Korea embodies this hardship more than T.V. personality Sam Okyere. As an international student from Ghana, he’s seen his fair share of discrimination, yet he found his niche in the Korean entertainment industry to much success. Recently, the YouTube channel Asian Boss interviewed Sam about this hopes, struggles and overall thoughts about his like in South Korean. Take a gander at these two videos to get an idea of how much of a struggle it can be sometimes to be different, and how, in some cases, others can relate and connect. Enjoy!
